Overview
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and inspirational Teacher of History to join our vibrant and supportive Humanities department on a maternity cover basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate practitioner to make a real difference to students’ learning and progress, in a forward-thinking school. The successful candidate will:
- Uphold safeguarding, behaviour and school policies at all times
- Deliver high-quality History lessons that inspire curiosity, critical thinking and academic success
- Plan, prepare and assess engaging schemes of work in line with the national curriculum and examination specifications at Key stage 3 and 4
- Monitor and support student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Communicate effectively with parents/carers and colleagues
- Embrace school life and nurture a sense of belonging to the school community.
